Corona pandemic

Abstract

Under the direction of the leader, Dr Marén Schorch (sociology and socio-informatics), seven members of the junior research group KONTIKAT (funded by the Federal Ministry for Research and Education (BMBF, 2017-2021)) present their reflections on the Covid19 pandemic and its implications for our research after the first months of the pandemic (in August 2020) from multiple disciplinary perspectives: sociology, economics, information science, and media studies. Our research focuses on investigating „civil and business continuity by means of socio-technical networking in crisis“. The group is one out of five groups in the BMBF funding program under „Civil Security – Promoting young researchers and their interdisciplinary competencies“. Unter der Leitung von Dr. Marén Schorch (Soziologie und Sozio-Informatik) reflektieren Mitglieder der BMBF Nachwuchswuchsforschergruppe KONTIKAT ihre Erkenntnisse nach den ersten Monaten der Covid19 Pandemie im August 2020 aus den jeweiligen disziplinären Perspektiven: der Soziologie, (Sozio-)Informatik, Medienwissenschaft und Ökonomie. Unsere Forschung fokussiert auf die „zivilgesellschaftliche und betriebliche Kontinuität durch sozio-technische Vernetzung in Katastrophenlagen“. KONTIKAT ist eine von fünf Forschungsgruppen aus dem BMBF Programm „Zivile Sicherheit - Nachwuchsförderung durch interdisziplinären Kompetenzaufbau“.
